We are looking for a talented and experienced PHP / Laravel Developer to join Amsotics, a growing website design and software development agency. You will be responsible for developing secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performance web applications and backend systems using PHP and Laravel.
In this role, you will work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, project managers, and clients to understand business requirements and transform them into robust and effective software solutions. You will be involved throughout the development lifecycle, including application architecture, database design, API development, business logic, third-party integrations, testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel, a solid understanding of MVC architecture, databases, REST APIs, authentication, and modern software development practices. You should be comfortable working on both new applications and existing systems, identifying technical challenges, improving application performance, and writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

ROLE OVERVIEW
• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Build scalable and secure backend systems based on project requirements.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend services.
• Design and implement database structures, relationships, queries, and migrations.
• Work with MySQL and other relational databases as required.
• Implement authentication, authorization, roles, permissions, and secure user management.
• Develop business logic and backend functionality according to client requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, email services, and external platforms.
• Develop and maintain reusable Laravel modules, services, controllers, and components.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and API response times.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable PHP and Laravel code.
• Implement proper validation, error handling, logging, and security practices.
• Work closely with frontend developers to ensure smooth API and application integration.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, developers, project managers, and clients.
• Perform testing and debugging before application deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development standards and best practices.
• Use Git and version control systems for development and collaboration.
• Assist with application deployment, server configuration, and maintenance when required.

• 1–3+ years of professional experience in PHP and Laravel development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming.
• Strong hands-on experience with Laravel framework.
• Good understanding of MVC architecture and Laravel development patterns.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with database design, migrations, relationships, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience with Laravel features such as Eloquent ORM, Blade, Middleware, Authentication, Queues, Events, Jobs, and Artisan.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for backend/frontend integration.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways is preferred.
• Understanding of web security principles and common vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Knowledge of Composer and Laravel package management.
• Experience with Linux servers, hosting, or deployment processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with Redis, caching, queues, or background jobs is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Laravel testing tools and automated testing is a plus.
