We are looking for a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join Amsotics, a growing website design and software development agency. You will be responsible for developing, customizing, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites for a wide range of clients and business requirements.
In this role, you will work closely with our UI/UX designers, developers, project managers, and clients to transform designs, ideas, and business requirements into modern, responsive, scalable, secure, and high-performing websites.
You will be involved throughout the development lifecycle, from understanding project requirements and planning solutions to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with a solid understanding of custom theme and plugin development.

ROLE OVERVIEW
• Develop, customize, and maintain professional WordPress websites.
• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
• Convert Figma, PSD, or other design files into responsive websites.
• Customize existing WordPress themes, plugins, and functionality.
• Develop websites from scratch while following modern development standards.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, forms, CRMs, and other external services.
• Develop and maintain WooCommerce websites and e-commerce functionality when required.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, scalability, security, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical and compatibility issues.
• Ensure websites work consistently across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
• Perform website migrations, updates, backups, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, project managers, and clients throughout projects.
• Review and improve existing code to maintain quality and performance.
• Test websites thoroughly before deployment and resolve identified issues.
• Stay updated with the latest WordPress features, web technologies, development practices, and security standards.
• Deliver assigned projects and tasks within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• 1–3+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress CMS.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first web development.
• Experience working with Elementor or other popular WordPress page builders.
• Good understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, custom post types, and custom fields.
• Experience with WooCommerce is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations is preferred.
• Understanding of website performance optimization, caching, and basic technical SEO.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Good understanding of web security and WordPress best practices.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand technical and business requirements and convert them into practical solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
